From South Pole back to Christchurch

I can’t believe it’s over and I’m on to the next thing. Here’s just a bunch of photos from my last two days on the ice. It all blew by so fast. Unfortunately no penguins in McMurdo, but I did manage to see some orcas through some binoculars! (No pics though.) Thank you to everyone who supported me through this crazy adventure and amazing opportunity.

Had to say goodbye to these goofballs. This picture is for Sandy and Bonnie. Thanks for reading my blog!

Actual crates from the Scott expedition! There was some seal blubber sitting in there too that was hundreds of years old. Gross.

It's finally becoming real—we're getting off of the ice! There were almost 100 people on this flight.

  1. Loved all the pictures. Hope you will do a slide show when you get home. Have a great time in NZ and Hawaii. It should be warmer.
